Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa was born in Yamanashi Prefecture in 1956. He founded NAOTO FUKASAWA DESIGN in 2003 and is renowned for his ability to capture the essence of objects in his designs. His work spans a variety of fields, from furniture to precision electronic equipment, and he consults for leading global brands. Fukasawa serves as a professor at Tama Art University and is a director of 21_21 Design Sight. He has been honored as a Royal Designer for Industry by the Royal Society of Arts and has received the Isamu Noguchi Award.
